In interaction design, the aesthetics and expressivity are more integrated since they are able to improve the user experience more than just functionality. Kinesis addresses this by proposing a kinetic artifact derived from natural, fluid motion, and different transitions. These transitions, reproduced from the movement of jellyfish and the rolling of the waves, determine the visual and emotions interactions for the users. In a way, Kinesis makes use of these transitions to create user participation through the physical and perceptual interaction, which expands the available design space for the soft and kinetic materials.
